Beth Thomas ‘10 is a managing director of Bain Capital Real Estate (BCRE), where she serves on its investment committee and is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, structuring, negotiating, and managing BCRE’s real estate investments and joint ventures. Thomas joined Bain Capital in 2018 as part of BCRE’s founding team as it spun out of Harvard Management Company (HMC), where she was senior vice president and portfolio manager in HMC’s real estate investment group. Prior to joining HMC in 2010, Thomas was executive director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Boston capital markets group from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, she was senior vice president in CBRE’s institutional investment sales group from 2002 to 2005 and worked in the Chicago, New York, and Boston offices of Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) from 1989 to 2002, where she invested across real estate sectors. Before JLL, Thomas worked at Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in institutional fixed income sales and trading.
