Kala Wekenborg-Tomka

Kala Wekenborg-Tomka, MHA, PMP, is an experienced professional in the fields of environmental health and project management, currently serving as a Senior Consultant at BerryDunn since November 2022. In this role, Kala leads service delivery to clients while managing project teams and facilitating communication with stakeholders. As a Research Project Leader for the Conference for Food Protection, Kala manages a nationwide food safety initiative in collaboration with various health organizations. Previous positions include Project Manager at A Civil Group, where regulatory compliance and project oversight were key responsibilities, and Environmental Public Health Supervisor for the City of Columbia, Missouri, overseeing the environmental health division. Kala holds a Master’s degree in Health Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Agriculture Economics, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
