Molly Whalen

Molly Whalen serves as the State Director for Best Buddies International in the Capital Region of Virginia and Washington, D.C., where the organization focuses on eliminating the isolation faced by individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through various programs. Previous experience includes leadership roles such as Executive Director at the District of Columbia Association for Special Education, Director of Parent & Youth Engagement at Advocates for Justice and Education, Inc., and Chief Development & Communications Officer at Capital City PCS. Additionally, Molly has extensive expertise in communication and development from positions at The Ivymount School & Programs, Leadership Outfitters LLC, WealthEngine, and associations in the scientific and medical fields. Molly holds a BA in Rhetoric & Communications Studies and Sociology from the University of Virginia and is currently pursuing a LEND Fellowship in Leadership in Neurodiversity at Georgetown University.
