Shabaz Patel

Shabaz Patel is an experienced professional in the field of applied AI and data science, currently serving as the Associate Director of Applied AI at Best Buy since July 2024, focusing on scaling AI engineering to benefit millions of users. Simultaneously, Shabaz acts as an advisor at Fabi.ai, facilitating faster data insights for data practitioners. Previously, Shabaz held the position of Vice President of Data Science and Solutions at One Concern from January 2019 to July 2024, overseeing model development and data operations. Additional roles include Co-Founder and CTO of Datmo, which was acquired by One Concern, where Shabaz innovated a machine learning platform. Earlier experience includes engineering work at Cisco and academic roles at Stanford University. Shabaz holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad.
