Amit Boukai

Disaster Medicine Fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center

Amit Boukai, MD, MPH, currently serves as a Disaster Medicine Fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, both starting in July 2024, while also working as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. Previously, Amit held the position of Chief Resident at HCA Florida Aventura Hospital and was a Resident Physician there from June 2021 to July 2024. Amit founded and co-presided over the Technion Emergency Medicine Interest Group and held multiple roles during studies at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, including co-leader of the Global Health Horizons Program and research assistant under Dr. Shlomit Strulov Shachar. Volunteer experience includes serving as an Overseas Volunteer Instructor for Magen David Adom in Israel and as a volunteer First Responder. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine from Technion, a Master of Public Health from Tel Aviv University, and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Indiana University Bloomington. A postdoctoral fellowship in Disaster Medicine is currently undertaken at Harvard Medical School.
