Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Chinasa graduated from Sonoma State University in 2019 with a BA in criminology and criminal justice. Prior to her role at Beyond 12, Chinasa served as a case manager with Fresh Lifelines for Youth (FLY) serving justice systems involved young adults. During this role, Chinasa connected youth to services in the community, facilitated legal education workshops, court advocacy, and supported youth with college applications and financial aid. Chinasa’s true passions are prison reform, restorative justice practices, and guiding Black and Brown youth to reach their true potential.
