Maxine Dimalanta

Maxine graduated from UCLA in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in education & social transformation. Maxine found her love for culturally-conscious counseling and student affairs in her work with UCLA’s student-initiated, student-run college access and retention programs, where she worked as a SPEAR peer counselor and SPACE peer advisor. Learning from her time as a counselor, student leader and organizer in cultural/political student organizations such as Samahang Pilipino and the Mother Organizations Coalition, Maxine hopes to continue to support students from historically excluded communities navigate higher education. Looking to stay involved in her community, she is currently an active member of Kappa Psi Epsilon Sorority, Inc. Maxine was born and raised in the Bay Area, where she attended WCCUSD schools and was a UC Berkeley EAOP/DCAC student and a Beyond 12 Student!
