Mitch Hamer

Mitch Hamer is an Intermediate Geological Engineer at BGC Engineering Inc. since September 2016, specializing in geotechnical instrumentation for mining and energy clients, including site investigation and construction monitoring of earth fill tailings dams. Previous roles include Geotechnical Field EIT at ENGEO, where soil testing and contractor coordination were performed, and Mining Co-op Student at Golder Associates, focusing on rock mechanics. Earlier experience includes a Surveyor/Field Engineering Student position at Mountain Lake Construction on a hydro project and an EIT Internship at Kiewit, contributing to a major rapid transit bid and designing a dewatering system. Mitch holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Geological Engineering from The University of British Columbia, obtained in 2015.
