Gerard Wortman

Gerard Wortman is an experienced energy management professional, currently serving as the Energy Team Leader for the National Capital Region at BGIS since April 2018. In this role, Gerard leads a team focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions in federal buildings. Prior to this, Gerard was a Senior Building Energy Consultant at Arborus Consulting, where responsibilities included writing project proposals and conducting research on energy efficiency technologies. Additionally, Gerard worked for Rijksvastgoedbedrijf for over two decades, holding various roles such as Senior Consultant Sustainable Real Estate and Senior Consultant Energy Efficiency, where significant achievements included receiving a government award for innovative procurement strategies. Gerard holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
