Physician / Director Of Addiction Treatment at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program

Joe Wright is a highly experienced physician currently serving as the Director of Addiction Treatment at Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program since February 2015, leading a multidisciplinary team in the care of individuals with opioid use disorder across various settings. Previously, Joe worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from July 2007 to February 2015 as an Attending Physician, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population and teaching internal medicine residents. Joe's early career includes roles as a Community Organizer for the STOP AIDS Project, a Community Educator with the San Francisco Department of Public Health, and a Commentator for NPR. Joe earned an MD from Harvard Medical School and a BA in Anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
