Superintendent Mine Planning at BHP

Nicole Webb, P.Eng., currently serves as Superintendent Mine Planning and Principal Mining Engineer at BHP, providing expertise in short-range mine planning and design for the Jansen mine's underground development since September 2022. Prior to this role, Nicole worked at Nutrien from October 2018 to September 2022 as a Mine Engineer, focusing on underground ventilation at the Allan division. Before that, Nicole gained experience as a Mine Engineer-in-Training at PotashCorp's Corporate Office from July 2015 to October 2018, specializing in ground control, rock mechanics, and ventilation projects. Initial experience included a Geological Engineering Internship at PotashCorp Lanigan, where responsibilities involved geological data collection and ground support planning, as well as early exposure to underground surveys and procedural drafting as a Geological Engineering Student at PotashCorp Corporate Office. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Geological Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, completed in 2015.
