Malcolm Watt

Malcolm Watt is an experienced Automation Engineer currently employed at BID Group since September 2018. Malcolm's previous roles include AutoML Researcher at McGill University, where responsibilities involved automating the design of neural networks, and leadership positions within McGill Robotics, including Rover Software Division Lead and Frontend Section Lead. Significant contributions included the design and implementation of software systems for Mars Rovers and development of a web-based visualization system for robotics data. Earlier experience includes cloud development at GURUS Solutions and underwater vehicle acoustics system design within McGill Robotics. Malcolm holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from McGill University and a DEC in Pure & Applied Science from John Abbott College.
