Maureen Short

Maureen Short is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Board Director and Audit Committee Chair at Big Lots since March 2024, Maureen also contributes to the SPCA of Texas as a Board Member. Previously, Maureen held significant positions at Upbound Group from 2008 to 2022, including EVP and Chief Financial Officer, where responsibilities encompassed strategic direction, shareholder outreach, and financial planning. Additional experience includes key roles at Blockbuster, VarTec Telecom, Southwestern Bell Corp, and Sprint, complemented by an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Florida and a BS in Business Administration from The University of Kansas.
