Raymond Tarnow

Raymond Tarnow is a safety and industrial hygiene professional with extensive experience in managing safety operations at Big River Steel since June 2023. Currently serving as the Manager of Safety and Industrial Hygiene, Raymond oversees safety protocols for major growth projects within Big River Steel, including the historically significant Mini Mill projects. Prior to this, Raymond worked at United States Steel Corporation for over a decade in various safety engineering roles, where responsibilities included managing industrial injuries and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Raymond's earlier experience includes military service with the United States Navy as a Missile Technician and technical design roles as an Apprentice Draftsman. Academically, Raymond holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety and Health and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.
