Sivakumar Gowrisankar

Sivakumar Gowrisankar, PhD, currently serves as the Director at Bio-Techne since December 2023. Prior to this role, Gowrisankar held the position of Director, Biomarker and Genomic Medicine at Parexel from January 2019 to December 2023, where leadership involved managing a team focused on precision medicine, sample and data management, biomarker identification, and patient stratification, while also delivering data science capabilities in genomics. Between October 2013 and December 2018, Gowrisankar worked at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as Investigator III, providing bioinformatics support across various therapeutic areas. Previously, positions included Bioinformatics Manager at Partners HealthCare and roles at the Partners Healthcare Center for Personalized Genetic Medicine and Brigham and Women's Hospital. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics from Bharathidasan University.
