Sophie Hackinger

Sophie Hackinger is a seasoned expert in bioinformatics with extensive experience in leading diverse computational teams across multiple organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Bioinformatics at Biofidelity since September 2024, Sophie previously held the position of Director of Bioinformatics & Software at NeoGenomics Laboratories, overseeing operational support for NGS-based assays and clinical bioinformatics. With a rich background that includes roles as Clinical Bioinformatics Team Lead and Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Inivata, and a PhD in Statistical Genetics from the University of Cambridge, Sophie has contributed significantly to research and clinical applications in genomics. Additional experience involves science communication and citizen science initiatives, showcasing a commitment to advancing the field through collaboration and innovation. Currently pursuing a Global MBA at Imperial College Business School, Sophie combines scientific expertise with business acumen.
