Guilherme Guimaraes

Guilherme (Gui) Guimaraes is currently working as a Scientist in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) at Biogen, a position held since June 2023. Previously, Gui served as a Graduate Student at the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy from July 2019 to May 2023 and completed an internship in Bioanalytics at Biogen in the summer of 2021. Earlier experience includes a role as a Quality Control Analyst and Product Development Researcher at Epiceutical Labs, LLC, where methods for extraction and HPLC analysis of phytochemicals were developed. Gui also held positions as Head Resident Advisor and Instrument Technician at Hampden-Sydney College, overseeing a team of resident advisors and maintaining analytical instruments, along with synthesizing and characterizing novel ligands as a Research Fellow. An internship as a Purification Chemist was completed at AmbioPharm in 2015. Gui holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Hampden-Sydney College.
