Russell Koste

Russell Koste is an experienced information security executive currently serving as Chief Information Security Officer at Biogen since October 2021. Prior to this role, Koste held various leadership positions at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where Koste was instrumental in establishing integrated cyber and physical security organizations, as well as overseeing cybersecurity and risk management. Koste also worked at Fidelity Investments as Senior Vice President of Enterprise Cyber Security, focusing on global IT protection and security service deployment. Earlier career highlights include roles at Northrop Grumman and the US Army, where Koste led significant cybersecurity initiatives and managed teams during deployments. Russell Koste earned an MBA in Finance and Business Strategy from Carnegie Mellon University and holds a BS in Physics from Dickinson College.
