Cecilia Carvalhaes

Cecilia Carvalhaes currently serves as Advisor of Global Medical Affairs at bioMérieux since November 2023. Prior to this role, Cecilia held the position of Associate Director of Clinical Microbiology at JMI Laboratories from April 2018 to November 2023, and coordinated the Microbiology Sector at HSP - UNIFESP from September 2013 to November 2023. Additionally, Cecilia was a professor of medicine at FISC Albert Einstein from August 2017 to April 2018 and worked as a Clinical Pathologist in the microbiology and molecular biology sector at HCor - Hospital do Coração from August 2013 to April 2018. Cecilia began their academic career as a PhD fellow at Universidade Federal de São Paulo from August 2009 to December 2014, after obtaining a medical degree from the same university from 1996 to 2001.
