João Paulo Reis Alvarenga

João Paulo Reis Alvarenga is an experienced machine learning engineer and AI team lead with a robust background in developing and deploying innovative AI solutions. Currently serving at Take Blip since July 2022, João Paulo leads a team focused on creating real-world applications using large language models and has successfully driven projects such as speech recognition technology for chatbots and a Coca-Cola Christmas campaign. Prior to this role, João Paulo has been with Stilingue since September 2016, transitioning from a data scientist to a senior and then staff machine learning engineer, where capabilities in sentiment analysis, topic extraction, and scalable machine learning products were honed. João Paulo co-founded Pimba, a startup providing a solution for parking space detection. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from UFOP, along with technical training in industrial automation.
