Sergio Alonso Fernández

Sergio Alonso Fernández is an accomplished Engineering Manager currently working at Block since August 2022. Previously, Sergio held managerial roles at Mixpanel from December 2015 to October 2020, where responsibilities included leading engineering teams, and earlier served as a Software Engineer. At Peekabuy, Inc., Sergio was a Founding Engineer from December 2014 to November 2015, contributing to the company’s vision and team growth. Additional experience includes software engineering positions at Opera, where Sergio developed widely used applications, and internships at the University of Valladolid and LuceIT, focused on web and Android application development. Sergio holds dual Master's degrees in Telecommunication Engineering from California State University-Sacramento and Universidad de Valladolid.
