Daniel Egas Galarza

Daniel Egas Galarza is an experienced professional in life cycle assessment (LCA) and sustainability, currently serving as the LCA/Footprinting Business Development Manager and Consultant at Mérieux NutriSciences | Blonk since November 2024, focusing on expanding services in the Spanish market. Prior to this role, Daniel held significant positions at BETA Technological Center / UVic-UCC from May 2017 to November 2024, including Research Area Coordinator and Senior Life Cycle Assessment Researcher/Consultant, where leadership, project management, and strategic planning were key responsibilities. Earlier career experiences include roles as a Civil Engineer at AOC Ingeniería and a Junior Civil Engineer at Smartpro S.A. Daniel Egas Galarza holds a PhD in Experimental Sciences and Technology from Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya, a Master’s Degree in Water and Wastewater Engineering from Brunel University of London, and an Engineer’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador.
