Thomas Borges

Thomas Borges, PE, has over a decade of experience in transportation engineering, currently serving as the Transportation Design Manager at Bloom Companies, LLC since April 2012. In this role, Thomas leads projects focused on roadway geometric design, drainage studies, hydraulic analyses, and maintenance of traffic design. Previous experience includes positions as Project Engineer and Staff Engineer at the Chicago Department of Transportation, where responsibilities encompassed designing bikeways, conducting field surveys, and supervising the construction of protected bike lanes. Thomas began their career as an Engineering Intern at Webster, McGrath and Ahlberg, LTD, contributing to land surveying and stormwater design projects. Thomas holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago, obtained in 2011.
