Julie Hersh

Julie Hersh currently serves as an Editor/Coach at Bloom Works Public Benefit LLC, a position held since January 2024. Previously, Julie held the role of Senior Editor at Flashpoint from December 2019 to January 2024 and worked as a Production Editor at the Council on Foreign Relations from September 2017 to December 2019. A freelance career from January 2013 to November 2019 involved copyediting, proofreading, and production editing for various literary magazines and manuscripts. Earlier experience includes roles at HarperCollins Publishers, Susan Golomb Literary Agency, Yale Daily News, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. Julie obtained multiple Master's degrees in Russian, Central European, East European, and Eurasian Studies from universities including Irkutsk State University, University of Tartu, and University of Glasgow, alongside a BA in Literature and German from Yale University.
