Sophie Kim Goldmacher currently serves on the Environment Team at Bloomberg Philanthropies since May 2024. Prior experience includes roles as Chief People Officer and Director of Legal Operations at the ACLU from March 2018 to April 2024. Sophie was the Director of Programming at Georgetown University's Institute of Politics and Public Service from August 2015 to June 2017. Additionally, Sophie held various positions within the President's Commission on White House Fellowships at The White House from August 2011 to July 2015, including Deputy Director and Associate Director of Education. Previous roles also include Legislative Aide at the California State Assembly and Special Assistant at the California State Board of Equalization. Sophie's early career included a position as Senate Fellow and Policy Committee Consultant at the California State Senate. Sophie holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Wellesley College.
