Douglas Laurie

Douglas Laurie has extensive experience in the financial services industry, having worked at Bloomberg since March 1997. Currently serving as the Global Head of Research Acquisition within the Financial Solutions Knowledge Group, Douglas has held various leadership and managerial roles, including Team Leader for EMEA Research Acquisition and EMEA App Portal Sales. Douglas has been instrumental in marketing Bloomberg's 3rd party application solutions and leading global specialist sales teams focused on customer-created content. Previous positions include managing sales teams for buyside accounts, product management for trade ideas and the Launchpad monitor product, and roles in sales and account management across key regions. Prior experience includes brokerage at ED&F Man and metals trading support at Metals Resources Group. Douglas holds a degree from the University of Cambridge.
