Lukas Zhao

Lukas Zhao is a software engineer at Bloomberg LP since July 2016, specializing in the equity RFQ platform, trading order management systems, and software quality initiatives. Previously, Lukas served as an MRSEC fellow at Columbia University, focusing on topological insulators and superconductivity, and worked as an intern at IBM on magnetic materials for on-chip power management. Earlier experience includes a significant role as a research assistant at City College of New York, where Lukas contributed to the synthesis of topological insulator nanoplates and published findings on Dirac spin response and surface superconductivity in Nature journals. Education includes a Ph.D. in Physics from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
