Gabriella Gilkes

Gabriella Gilkes is an experienced professional in program management and science engagement, currently serving as Programme Manager for the Convex Seascape Survey at Blue Marine Foundation since April 2022. Gabriella previously worked as an Innovation and Growth Specialist at Innovate UK EDGE SW for a brief period and had a long tenure at the Eden Project from September 2008 to January 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing science, engagement, and research partnerships. Gabriella's expertise in marine sciences was further developed during a role as Visiting Research Scientist at Fondation Tara Océan, focusing on microbial communities in oceans. Earlier career experience includes serving as Communications Manager for Glastonbury Festival Events Limited. Gabriella holds a Master's degree in Social and Political Science from the University of Cambridge and two Master of Science degrees in Water and Coastal Management from the University of Plymouth and Universidad de Cádiz.
