Samuel Stathis

Samuel Stathis is a Structural Engineer currently employed at Blue Origin since July 2024. Prior to this role, Samuel served as a Senior Structural Engineer at Virgin Galactic from June 2022 to June 2024, where leadership of a team of up to 25 engineers focused on fuselage structural design for space-bound craft, along with conducting trade studies and ensuring structural substantiation of components. Earlier experience includes a position as a Senior Structural Engineer at Bye Aerospace, where design and analysis of composite aircraft fuselage structures were key responsibilities, and as a Design Engineer at Platform Aerospace, leading design efforts for UAV programs. Samuel's career commenced at Gentex, where as a Mechanical Project Engineer, innovative support for helmet systems was provided. Educationally, Samuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
