Matthew Merrick

Matthew Merrick is a seasoned finance professional with experience in private equity and investment banking. Currently serving as a Senior Associate at Blue Star Innovation Partners since 2023, Matthew focuses on growth equity acquisitions in vertically-focused software businesses. Previously, Matthew worked as a Private Equity Senior Analyst at Strait Lane Capital Partners, LLC from 2021 to 2022, and as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Stephens from 2020 to 2021. Matthew holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce, where studies were completed from 2018 to 2020, and has a foundational education from The University of Texas at Austin (2015 - 2017) and Cistercian Preparatory School (2007 - 2015).
