Meital Waibsnaider

Meital Waibsnaider serves as General Counsel at Blue State since October 2020, previously holding the same position at Gibney Dance from March 2016 to October 2020. Waibsnaider has extensive legal experience, having worked as Senior Counsel at Kennedy Berg LLP from January 2014 to September 2020, where responsibilities included managing a commercial litigation practice. Earlier roles include Staff Attorney at the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (2013-2014) and Associate positions at both Kennedy Berg LLP and Sidley Austin LLP, focusing on complex commercial litigation and regulatory compliance. Waibsnaider began a career in the arts as Manager of Individual Giving for Dance Theater Workshop (2001-2004). Educational credentials include a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA in English and Dance History/Criticism from Goucher College.
