Louis Guimond

Louis was appointed to the Bluewater Health Board of Directors in June 2016. He has served on all Sub-Committees of the Board and the Community and Rural Health Advisory Panels. Louis was appointed Treasurer of the Board and Chair of the Resource Utilization and Audit Committee in June 2020. Currently, Louis is a member of both the Governance and Nominating Committee and the Resource Utilization and Audit Committee. He also serves as the Integrated Risk Management Liason.

Louis is the principal at Sagittaire, a private asset management firm, and sits on the Board of Directors for a number of not-for-profit organizations. Prior to his current responsibilities, he was Director of Studies at the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, Nova Scotia. As head of the institution’s Academic Council, he was responsible for the development and implementation of, and adherence to, the organization’s training standards. He was a member of Cape Breton University Academic Senate.
