Mark van Hattem

Mark Van Hattem is an experienced privacy professional currently serving as the Privacy Officer for Wet Politiegegevens at the City of Amsterdam since April 2021. Mark has held various roles in privacy consultancy, including senior advisor and Data Protection Officer for several municipalities and organizations, focusing on compliance with GDPR-related regulations. Prior to this, Mark worked as an advisor for data protection at Servicecentrum Drechtsteden and as an AVG/GDPR advisor at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Mark also possesses a background in the arts, functioning as a fine art photographer and director of multiple museums, complemented by advanced degrees in European History and Cultural History from Leiden University and Utrecht University.
