WK Tan is an accomplished financial compliance professional with extensive experience in anti-money laundering (AML) investigations and team leadership. Currently serving as Vice President at BNP Paribas since January 2022, WK Tan previously held the same title at United Overseas Bank Limited from March 2016 to January 2022, where responsibilities included managing teams, investigating AML alerts, and participating in transaction monitoring projects. Earlier experience includes an Associate position at JPMorgan Chase & Co. focused on AML investigations for the APAC region, and a role as Team Leader at the Commercial Affairs Department of the Singapore Police Force, overseeing criminal investigations related to financial crimes.
