Marc Beattie is the Founder and Managing Partner of Wainhouse, an industry research firm focused on workplace communications and collaboration. Marc began his career in Boston as an early member of PictureTel which eventually grew to $490M in revenues. In the early 1990’s Marc joined the founders of Polycom (now Poly) in San Jose which eventually grew to over $1B in revenues and set the standard for high quality conference phones and group video conferencing systems. At PictureTel and Polycom Marc held roles in business analysis, product management, channel sales management, inside sales management, and business development.
At Wainhouse, Marc and his team assist technology companies and service providers interpret and act on emerging technology and market trends through a data driven approach to decision making. Marc has authored hundreds of public and private studies on product strategies, distribution structures, emerging technologies and industry applications. He regularly engages with IT decision makers at enterprises, and executives at global Telcos, service providers, technology providers, emerging companies, and the financial community.
