Thornton Smith

Thornton Smith, MBA, FMP, is an experienced professional in engineering and project management, currently serving as the Supervisory Engineer for Commissioning, Testing, and Energization at Bonneville Power Administration since September 2017. With a strong background in project management, Thornton has also held roles such as Senior Engineering Project Manager and Facility Operations Program Manager, where responsibilities included managing critical technical needs and overseeing project life cycles. Prior to BPA, Thornton served as Project Manager II at MOTUS Recruiting and Staffing, Engineering Project Specialist at CH2M, and Project Manager at Pacific Northern Industrial. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Management from Texas A&M University-Commerce, a Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University, and an Associate of Science in Engineering Technology from Linn-Benton Community College.
