Brian Baker

Brian Baker is currently an advisor at Boomtown Accelerators. Brian has previously worked as the President/CEO of Hopscotch, a consumer electronics startup, and as the Principal of Product Design and Manufacturing at Small Planet. Brian has also been a Senior Partner and Chief Experience Officer at BB Consulting.

Baker led Hopscotch from ideation to exit, managing all aspects of capital raising, design, logistics, manufacturing, marketing, distribution, sales, and customer support. The ‘Bob’ product enjoyed great commercial success at big box retail, Amazon, and through direct sales. ‘Best in Show’ award from the Consumer Electronics Show (Las Vegas). Mr. Baker exited the company after securing international licensing and accepting a term sheet for the company's purchase.

At Small Planet, Baker created long partnerships with trusted Asian manufacturers to provide volume manufacturing services to companies who feel deeply about social welfare and environmental stewardship. Brian properly incorporated Small Planet into Rebel in June of 2015 before taking on their current role at Boomtown Accelerators.

Brian Baker has a BA/BA in Economics/Political Science from Boston University. Brian transferred credits to Boston University from the University of London, Queen Mary College in Economics / Political Science. Brian is currently continuing their education in Fine/Studio Arts, General at the San Francisco Art Institute.
