Julie Krommenhoek

Julie Krommenhoek is the current advisor at Boomtown Accelerators. Julie has also held the position of Vice President of Global Sales at IBM and Vice President, Life Sciences at Ciox Health.

Julie has always been driven by their passion for helping others. After graduating from college, they began their career at IBM in the Global Sales & Strategy department for Watson Health. Julie quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to Vice President of Global Sales. In this role, they were responsible for leading the sales team and developing strategies to grow IBM's market share.

In 2018, Julie was recruited by Ciox Health to build a new business development team for the Life Science division. As the face of the clinical market for Ciox, they worked closely with the CEO, Division President and CFO on all phases of forecasting and pipeline growth activities. Julie also collaborated across teams in the Ciox organization, including Operations, Finance and Legal & Compliance. As a key member of the Life Sciences executive leadership team, they served as the Life Science SME within Ciox. Under their leadership, the team built a pipeline comprised of the top 10 global pharma companies.

Julie is a highly accomplished sales executive with a proven track record of success in building and leading sales teams. Julie is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem. Her experience in both the private and public sector makes their uniquely qualified to advise startups in the healthcare space.

Julie Krommenhoek's educational career began at Macquarie University, where they studied medicine. Julie then went on to study economics at the University of Wisconsin.
