Scott Caruso

Scott Caruso is an advisor at Boomtown Accelerators. Scott has also previously worked as the CEO of PureColor Inc., a company that creates Clean Chemistry products, and as a General Partner at Flywheel Ventures.

Scott has always been entrepreneurial, starting their first business when they were just 13 years old. Scott then went on to study business at the University of Colorado, where they graduated with honors. After college, they co-founded a software company called Inverse Network Technology, which was acquired by CableLabs in 2001.

In 2003, they became a General Partner at Flywheel Ventures, where they helped grow the company and invest in many successful startups. In 2010, they left Flywheel to start PureColor Inc.

At PureColor, Scott and their team designed, developed and delivered an innovative wood coatings platform serving international building products factory finishers (doors, cabinets, furniture, millwork, etc), professional contractors and custom finishing shops through distribution, and DIYers via Amazon. Their product leveraged a unique supply chain, highly efficient manufacturing and an innovative delivery system.

Under Scott's leadership, PureColor grew rapidly, increasing revenue by 300%. In 2016, they sold the company to focus on their work as an advisor at Boomtown Accelerators.

Scott Caruso's educational career includes a Bachelor of Science in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from New Mexico State University.
