Muhammad Awais

Muhammad Awais is a seasoned Process Control Engineer currently working at Boral since May 2023, with extensive prior experience at Ibrahim Fibres Ltd. from May 2011 to February 2023 as Deputy Manager Process and Operations. Awais successfully managed multiple shutdowns and startups of a fiber-grade Polyethylene Terephthalate Plant and collaborated on plant pre-commissioning activities with TECHNIP ENERGIES. Demonstrated a commitment to sustainability, Awais led efforts that resulted in significant energy conservation and improved process monitoring through the upgrade of DCS systems and implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies. Awais coached young engineers, conducted ISO audits, organized safety procedures for ISO 45001 certification, and represented environmental efforts for ISO 14001 compliance. Previous roles include Assistant Manager Polymer Process with expertise in data and energy balancing, and Senior Engineer Chemical at Shakarganj Limited, where leadership contributed to record production levels. Awais holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Punjab.
