Neftali Galarza, the second of three sons to immigrant farmworkers, was born and raised in the Eastern Coachella Valley where he attended local public schools at Coachella Valley Unified School District in Riverside County. Neftali earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Labor Studies from the University of California, Riverside.
Neftali Galarza serves as the Coordinator of Community Engagement & Partnership for the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools, who works with the county’s 23 school districts and the staff at the Riverside County Office of Education to ensure high-quality education that invests in all students. Previously, Neftali served as the Director of Community Outreach for the California Alliance for Renewable Energy Solutions, a non-profit organization in partnership with labor, business, environment, and community groups to support bulk energy storage projects.
In addition, Neftali Galarza serves as a Council Member for the City of Coachella and on the Board of Directors for multiple non-profit organizations, like Borrego Health, Dr. Carreon Scholarship Foundation, and the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House.
