Tom Kuo

Tom Kuo is a Trustee at the Boston Symphony Orchestra and was previously a Managing Director at Berkshire Partners. Tom has also worked as an Associate at General Atlantic and as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Tom Kuo has a long history of working in impact investing, with a focus on minority entrepreneurs in underserved urban areas in the United States. Tom was a founding team member at both Goldman Sachs' Urban Investment Group and General Atlantic's impact investing strategy.

At Berkshire Partners, Tom Kuo was responsible for leading investments in the consumer and retail sectors. Tom also served on the Board of Directors for several portfolio companies, including Gratitude Railroad and Mighty Earth.

Tom Kuo is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.

Tom Kuo received their MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and their A.B. in Environmental Science & Public Policy from Harvard University.
