Zaid Tahir is a PhD researcher in Computer Engineering at Boston University, specializing in FPGAs, SOCs, and HPC in Data Center Clouds and IoT, and is currently collaborating with RedHat on the development of a HardwareOS for FPGAs. Previous experience includes roles as an Embedded System Engineer at Skylark Wireless, where Zaid designed and evaluated FPGA-based 5G Massive MIMO radio systems, and as a Graduate Research Intern at Rapid Silicon, contributing to the open-source software "Raptor" in OOP C++ and TCL scripting.
