Kenneth T. McFadyen, MPA, currently serves as the Director of Economic Development for Botetourt County since July 2016. Previously, Kenneth held the position of Executive Director at the Blue Ridge Crossroads Economic Development Authority from August 2009 to June 2016, overseeing regional economic development projects in southwest Virginia. Kenneth's experience also includes serving as Executive Director for New River Community Partners, focusing on the American Heritage Rivers Initiative, and fulfilling the role of Adjunct Instructor at Appalachian State University. Earlier roles include Town Manager for the Town of West Jefferson, NC, and Assistant to the County Manager in McDowell County. Kenneth's educational background includes a Certificate from Virginia Tech's Leadership Academy, a Master's in Education from Emory & Henry University, and both a Master's in Public Administration and a Bachelor's in History from Appalachian State University.
