An Nguyen

An Nguyen has extensive experience in journalism education, currently serving as a Professor of Journalism at Bournemouth University since December 2011, where previous positions include Associate Professor, Principal Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer. Prior to Bournemouth University, An Nguyen held the role of Senior Lecturer and Journalism Leader at the University of Sussex from October 2010 to December 2011, and was a Lecturer in Journalism Studies at the University of Stirling from October 2007 to September 2010. Earlier academic positions include Associate Tutor in Journalism at Queensland University of Technology and Associate Tutor in Media Studies at the University of Queensland. An Nguyen earned a PhD in Media and Communication Studies from the University of Queensland between 2002 and 2007 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Linguistics and Literature from Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities, completed in June 1997.
