Heather Irvine

Heather Irvine is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in competition law, currently serving as a Partner at Bowmans since October 2019. Previously, as Director at Falcon & Hume Inc from June 2016 to November 2019, Heather focused on African antitrust matters, particularly in merger filings and compliance. At Norton Rose Fulbright South Africa from September 2004 to May 2016, Heather led the African competition law team and handled significant merger and behavioral cases, while also serving as Director and head of the competition law team. Heather's legal career began as an Associate at Brink Cohen Le Roux, where work included labor and corporate law, and as a Researcher at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of South Africa, assisting Justice Albie Sachs on landmark human rights cases. Heather holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Cape Town and completed Matric with distinctions at Marian College Linmeyer.
