James Rubin

James Rubin is an experienced leader in the fields of housing, investment, and infrastructure. Currently serving as Chairman of the Board for the New York City Housing Authority since June 2023 and Chief Investment Officer at Aligned Climate Capital, Rubin focuses on decarbonizing the global economy through strategic capital deployment. Rubin holds board positions at several organizations, including BoxPower, CleanFiber, Fifth Avenue Private Equity and Real Assets Funds, and OneTeam Partners. Previously, Rubin was CEO of Meridiam North America, where leadership involved investing in public-private infrastructure projects. Notably, Rubin has held significant positions in government, including Director of State Operations for Governor Andrew M. Cuomo and Commissioner/CEO of New York State Homes and Community Renewal. Rubin earned a JD from Yale Law School and an A.B. in History from Harvard University.
