Denisse Flores-Caldera is a proven leader and highly respected member in the broader Puerto Rican business community. Ms. Flores is the PwC San Juan Office Managing Partner and leader of the San Juan Tax Practice. She has significant experience in Puerto Rican, US, and international tax matters and has advised clients spanning a wide array of industries, including private equity and financial services, as well as multinational clients with operations in Puerto Rico.
Ms. Flores focuses on both inbound and outbound Puerto Rican and US federal tax matters. Moreover, she also oversees the Assets Management Tax Practice in San Juan with a continued focus on advising clients on the Puerto Rico incentives acts.
With more than twenty years of experience with PwC in San Juan and New York City, she has extensive expertise in tax consulting and compliance matters across a wide array of industries, including alternative investments, manufacturing, banking, technology, insurance, and retail.
Denisse is a CPA and former president of the Puerto Rico State CPA Society where she held a number of leadership roles. She earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayagüez and a master's in Tax (MST) from Bentley University. She also completed a JD program at the University of Puerto Rico Law School and is a licensed attorney.
