Owen Quake

Owen Quake is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in health, safety, environmental, and cybersecurity roles within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Head of HSE&C - Hydrogen & CCS at bp since December 2011, Owen Quake supports bp’s growth initiatives in hydrogen and carbon capture and storage. Previous positions include Lead New Ventures & NOJV Authority and Retail Segment Engineering Technical Authority at bp, as well as Director roles at Lowes Petroleum Service and New Zealand Oil Services Limited. Owen Quake also chairs the Managing Board of the Centre for Hydrogen Safety for AIChE and has held various positions in risk management and operational excellence at organizations such as Caltex and Dow Chemical. Owen Quake holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Bachelor of Arts in Chemical Engineering & Politics from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
