Mr. Luke Carney is currently a Sr. Engineering Manager Maintenance and CoHE Safety Champion for Toyota Motor Manufacturing WV, Inc. Since 1999, Mr. Carney has dedicated himself to various roles at TMMWV, including Skilled Maintenance Team Member, Maintenance Engineer, Production Engineer, Maintenance Group Leader, Maintenance Manager, Senior Engineering Manager (Maintenance), North America UTC Maintenance Leader, Certified Toyota Maintenance Assessor for Unit Plants and Vehicle Plants, and Diversity Champion. Before joining TMMWV, Mr. Carney began his career as a Maintenance Shift Supervisor for AK Steel in Ashland, KY, and worked at Yokohama Tire in Salem VA, as a Staff Engineer specializing in Support to Maintenance and Production along with Capital projects. Mr. Carney is a 1996 graduate of the West Virginia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. He also served as a member of the 130th Air National Guard in Charleston, WV, including Operation Joint Endeavor in 1996. Outside his career at TMMWV, Mr. Carney serves as a Deacon at Grandview Baptist Church and provides support for the Good News Mountaineer Garage.
